The main pavilion is at the heart of the resort where guests enjoy luxurious rooms, some with terraces and fireplaces, and walk only seconds to the dining room, indoor pool and common room. Others may choose the serene views from the rooms in the Maison Canadienne pavilion, or the country charm of the rooms in the log-walled Pavilion Bois Corde. For those who want a Walden experience, L'Ermitage offers real wilderness living (no running water or electricity) in the solitude of the forest. A cozy bathrobe awaits each guest, while homemade herbal teas can be found in each pavilion.

Cuisine at Spa Eastman features many regional and homemade dishes such as yogurts, tabouleh, jams, muffins and broth and stringently avoids all genetically altered ingredients. Dairy and cream are replaced with soy and rice milks. Organic ingredients are used whenever possible, and many of the fresh vegetables and produce come from the gardens right outside. The resort's French influence extends to the occasional glass of wine, hand-selected from the owner's collection.

Spa Eastman's separate and spread out pavilions mean that guests can create the vacation experience they desire. Guests are encouraged to enjoy the beautiful countryside by taking walks or cross-country skiing on its 15 kilometers of hiking paths, relaxing under the gorgeous Mount Orford landscape at the serene outdoor pool and pond, or taking a body sculpting or tai chi class at the fitness center.

This spa is amazing! i was engulfed in the joy of all the services that were available. i enjoyed every bit of this spa, and i reccomend this spa to everyone that needs relaxation, but wants to enjoy it at the same time.

A little bit of heaven in the Canadian woods

This spa is a real value. Prices are great for what they offer. The serene environment is uninterrupted by phones, TVs, or internet. The property is lovely with lawn chairs sprinkled about the grounds for a quiet place to sit and read or just relax and enjoy nature. The rooms are nice and varied depending on whether you choose the main lodge or one of the outlying buildings. Food is both very healthful and delicious. Attention to preparation pays off here. Wine is available. The staff is very good, especially in the dining room, and they speak English although most of the programs are presented in French only. I opted for the English movie in the evening instead and reading both the book I brought and some of the English ones I found in the comfortable living room of the Maison Canadienne where I was lodged. Treatments and classes were mostly good. I was disappointed in the yoga class, but enjoyed the Aqua Aerobics and some of the other exercise classes given bilingually. Massages were mostly good--some therapists are better than others--and the skin treatments were very nice. the locker room at the spa is a little lacking in ambiance and facilities--a distinct lack of chairs or benches. And it was too dark. Other than that, I loved the place and would definitely go back.

Great scenic area just east of Montreal. Nice drive from the airport or about a 5 to 6 hour drive from NY City. Exchange rate makes this a good deal for the rooms and treatments. Rooms include 3 meals a day and fitness classes. Classes are mostly done in french and most guests speak french....not a problem if you are enjoying the spa with another person or relaxing on your own. Food is spa cuisine and does the job for a healthy retreat. Went for a hike in July and was mobbed by bugs down a trail in some wet areas. Guess that is part of the experience. Watsu treatment best I ever had, a must try. Spa treatments all pretty good and as I mentioned...a great value for US traveler. Staff is friendly and willing to please. Rooms are upgraded medium priced rooms some with fireplaces....comfortable and recommend you try to stay in the main building. If you have a car driving around the area is a treat as there are many sites, lakes and towns to see.

Guests can fly into the Montreal International Airport. Alternately, it's a gorgeous drive from northeast United States or Quebec, combined with easy border crossings into and out of Canada.

The dress code at Spa Eastman is casual, so do bring appropriate outdoor clothing, but be sure to leave suits and ties at home.

Take in the history and culture of the region by visiting the nearby Saint-Benoit-du-Lac abbey, J. Armand Bombardier museum and vineyard, or take a cruise on Lac Memphremagog.
